35 weeks- only 35 days to go!!!

Well, today we are 35 weeks!!! I can't believe it.....only 35 days till we meet our sweet little girl! My belly is steadily growing and growing!! Here is a pic from last week and then this week:

As you can see....a BIG difference in just a week! Of course today's picture is right after I worked out....so my shirt is a bit tighter :) We finished our baby class, and I have to say we learned a lot. We got to tour the hospital we will be delivering at, and it is SO nice! It is brand new....so we are really lucky! We start going to the dr weekly starting next Tuesday....WOW that means we are close!

Pregnancy Highlights:

Total Weight Gain: 19 pounds so far.....YIKES!!!!!!! That is scary :)

Maternity Clothes: umm....yeah! I can't fit in anything else 

Best Moment this week: Every little movement she makes and starting to get my hospital bag packed!

Movement: All day!! It is more like jabs now.....I can feel actual body parts poking out!

Food Craving: Sweets

Sleep: Missing it! I have to get up several times a night and have a hard time getting comfortable.....it's all worth it though!

What I am looking forward to this week: My Baby showers!! My grandmother and my aunts are coming in town.....so excited!!

Ainsley is doing great too! We got to have an ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and all looked perfect! She does look big....but that's ok! The tech estimated that she was probably 4 lbs 4 oz....of course that is just an estimate!

We have ben getting her nursery ready and are pretty much just waiting on her glider to arrive! Here are some recent pics:

I have several showers coming up in the next week! My sweet class is giving me a shower Friday! I am so excited....but more for them! Then, I have my big shower Saturday.....this is the one my family is coming in town for! Then next week, my AWESOME coworkers are hosting me a shower! Jim and I are so blessed to have so many people that care for us and our sweet girl!

Single Digits Now!!

Hey everyone! As usual, too much time has passed since our last post! We are now 31 weeks....and in the single digits.....only 9 weeks left! I can't believe it :) It is going by so fast, yet so slow at the same time- if that makes any sense!

Jim and I can't wait to see our sweet little girl.....I just light up thinking about it all!! So what is going on at 31 weeks??                     

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 31 weeks

Total Weight Gain: 15 pounds - I have an appointment next Tuesday, so we will see... my belly has been growing! 

Maternity Clothes: Yes!!

Best Moment this week:  Every little movement she is making.....I feel her ALL day long! It is such a neat thing
Gender: It's A GIRL! Ainsley Christine!

Movement:  Yes it is AMAZING!  My whole belly moves around :) 

Food Craving: None really...just hungry all the time :)

What I miss: Sleeping on my belly! 

Sleep:  Not much....but I have also been pretty sick :(

What I am looking forward to:  My doctor's appointment next week. 

Symptoms:  Lower back pains 

What is happening with Ainsley??

Well, at our last appointment she was already 3 pounds 1 ounce! She is around 18 inches long and getting close to her birth length. Also developing at an impressive rate: her brain connections! She is already able to process information, track light, and perceive signals from all 5 senses...isn't that AMAZING!

Overall, I have felt great...until the past week. I caught some bug and it really did me in. Luckily, we had 2 snow/ice days at school so that gave me extra time to rest! Jim has been wonderful!! He is so supportive, loving, and helpful. Anything I need he makes sure I get. Boy am I lucky!! This past weekend was the last weekend of duck hunting...which if you know Jim that is a BIG deal!! He had to miss out on a few days to stay home and take care of me. Here is a picture of him that his brother took....how cool is this:

I thought this picture was so neat....it looks like a professional took it! Too bad I can't get it to go bigger!

29 weeks and counting!!

Hello, Hello everyone!! Pull up a chair....it's going to be a long one!

I am 29 weeks today.....I can't believe we only have 11 weeks to go! Unbelievable :)

We went to the dr yesterday in hopes of getting the 4d ultrasound....instead I walked out very disappointed!! We did get our ultrasound, however, little Ainsley did NOT want to cooperate! She would not turn her face so we could see her. She is face down and just did not want to look at the "camera." We have yet to get a profile picture of this child! She must not be mine because I LOVE pictures..haha!! On the positive side though....everything looked GREAT! She looks very healthy and already weighs 3 pounds 1 ounce!! Oh my!! :) We just can't wait for her to be here with us.

We started our Baby Class last Thursday, and both of us really enjoyed the class and the teacher. She is very laid back and informative. We are taking the class with another couple we are friends with, so that makes it fun...plus there are several other 2nd grade teachers in the class that teach in the same county as me! The teacher said we will have a class reunion when all of our babies are between 4 and 6 months...oh how fun!

We are also still working on the nursery! We have been looking for a lamp to go on the dresser. Marsha, who is like my second mom, found the cutest lamp today!!! Since my parents have passed away Marsha, and her husband John, have stepped in and really become like a 2nd set of parents to me! We are sooo lucky to have them in our lives. They are the next best thing to parents if I can't have my mom and dad here to celebrate and share in this exciting time with me! I can't wait for baby Ainsley to get to love them as much as I do! 28 weeks

Hey everyone!!! I figured it was time for a blog update!! The nursery is starting to come along nicely. I can't wait to get it all done and see our sweet Ainsley in it! :) Only 12 more weeks......WAHOO! Here are some updated pics of the nursery so far....we still have a LOT to do  

I am still looking for some pink panel curtains to go with the valance.....I just haven't found any I like yet. I also got the cutest frame from Hobby Lobby that goes PERFECTLY!! Now it is just time to accessorize :)

Today, I am 28 weeks! I told Jim the closer we get the longer it seems to drag out. We are just so ready for her to be here!! Here are some highlights so far ( I stole this from another blog!!)

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 28 weeks 

Baby Ainsley weighs:  about 2 and 1/2 pounds 

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I have gained 12 pounds so far...and I am about to hit a number on the scale I NEVER thought I would see :) However, I am still working out regularly!!

Maternity Clothes: A must at this point!

Sleep: Sleeping has not been that great lately. I just can't seem to get comfortable and toss and turn all night long.

Best Moment this week:  Just getting to see her moving all around in my belly....it is so neat and weird all at the same time!

Movement:  ALL the time now!  

What I miss: My daily Dr. Peppers 

What I am looking forward to:  Jim and I are starting our Baby Class this Thursday!! I can't wait to learn all kinds of things....and see how Jim reacts to it all!!

Baby Fun :)

Well, my Christmas Break is quickly coming to an end. Jim and I did have a GREAT Christmas and New Years.......I can't believe we are in 2010!!! Ainsley will be here before we know it! We are starting to get all of her things ready!! All of the furniture is here and put together in the nursery. The painter is hopefully coming tomorrow to get the room all ready! I can't wait. I will post pics of before and after!!

Jim and I also went and started registering! This was so much fun....but very stressful at the same time! We have a LOT to learn. There are so many different types of bottles, diapers, creams, strollers, etc. We did get somethings registered at Babies R' Us and we are also going to go to Target. Here is a picture of Jim testing out one of the strollers.....I can't wait till we have her here and actually in the stroller! 

I am now 26 weeks and 3 days pregnant!! When I looked at the ticker at the top of the blog, I was SO excited to see it said only about 95 days to go!! WAHOO :)

What is happening at 26 weeks?? Well, Ainsley is weighing about 2 pounds now and is about 9 inches long. Also happening this week....her eyes are beginning to open. The colored part of the eye still doesn't have too much pigmentation, so it is still too early to guess the color of her eyes! Though I am hoping she has Jim's beautiful blue eyes :)

My goal this year is to start updating the blog at least twice a week! So keep reading and checking in on us and leave us a message to let us know you are out there!

Christmas Recap

Hello All! I hope everyone had a FABULOUS Christmas. We certainly did :) Jim and I are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. We headed to my Grandmother's house (mom's mom) Christmas Eve morning and spent time with family. My dad's family also lives near there, so Jim and I headed over to my Aunt Debbie's house to visit with them as well! Overall, it was a GREAT time had by all! Here are a few pics:

In baby news: I will be 26 weeks on Tuesday!!! I can't believe it is going by so fast, yet so slow at the same time :) I passed my sugar glucose test.....which is great news considering my sugar has been really high. Baby Ainsley is moving all the time now! Jim and I can just sit and watch her moving in my belly.....so neat and weird!!! We have got to start getting things ready for her! We have a lot to do on her nursery and we haven't even registered for anything yet. We are going to start a baby class on January 7th....I am so excited to learn more about the whole process! Getting Ready for Baby!!

Well.....I am a blogging slacker!! Sorry :)

Lots has been going on around our house lately!! I am now 23 weeks....only 17 weeks to go! I can't believe it!! What is happening this week? Baby Ainsley is about 8 inches long and just over a pound in weight....boy has she grown! In the next month, she will double in weight. I have gained 7 pounds so far and continue to walk and exercise. Jim and I went to the dr. last week and my sugar was really high....so we are having to do the Glucose test next Thursday. Please pray that everything goes smoothly, and we are both healthy.

We also got her crib and bedding in this week!! we are still waiting on the dresser/changer combo to arrive....but in the mean time we have put together the crib and put the bedding in! Now we just need our sweet little girl here :) Here are some pics:

I wrote this post at Thanksgiving.....but never got around to posting it! Better late than never :)

Happy LATE Thanksgiving! I have so many things to be thankful for this year.

- I am thankful for my supportive family and friends

- thankful for my amazing, selfless, supportive best friend I call my husband

-thankful for this precious miracle that God has chosen for Jim and myself

- thankful that so far this precious baby is healthy and right on track :)

- thankful Jim to to feel his little girl kick the other night!!

-thankful for a job I LOVE and the sweet kids that greet me daily :)

-thankful for a doctor that Jim and I both like to go see

- thankful for my loving God

- and THANKFUL and BLESSED for the wonderful years I DID get to spend with my sweet parents. They created such wonderful memories and traditions for me that I can't wait to pass on to my little one :) They truly were the BEST parents anyone could have asked for and I am THANKFUL!!

We have finally decided on a name for our sweet little one. Ainsley Christine.....I just love the name Ainsley and Christine was my mom's name, so it is extra special! We are over halfway there!! WAHOO....I can't wait to meet this precious little girl! I have been feeling her move and Jim got to feel her kick on Monday, November 29th!!! It was so exciting!!! What a special time this is for us :) I just love how attentive Jim already is to this baby....and I can't wait to see him when she finally gets here!

Baby Cobb is GIRL!!!!

Shame on me for not blogging sooner! Jim has been on me to update the blog for days and days :)

We found out that Baby Cobb is a GIRL! We are just so excited!! We are still working on a name...but we are almost certain her name will be Ainsley Christine. Ainsley I just love and Christine was my mom's name....so it is EXTRA special to Jim and I!! I have been looking at bedding and have found some things I really like...but I just can't bring myself to buy anything yet. I just have this underlying fear that Baby GIRL Cobb will turn into Baby Boy Cobb! I know I am crazy!! :)

I have also already started decorating for Christmas....I know I am crazy!! I just couldn't wait. Here are the pics from the banister....next up the new 12 foot tree we bought last week!! So exciting! I LOVE the holidays!!

Not much longer.....

Hey all! I hope everyone has had a great week so far. Jim and I have been very busy around our house! I think I am already "nesting" and trying to get everything ready before baby gets here!We got a new light fixture in our master bathroom!! YAY!

We also got our kitchen and dining rooms painted. Here are some pics:

And now for baby news......which is really what all of you out of town people want to hear! Baby Cobb is 16 weeks and 1 day old :) We go November 3rd for our next Dr.'s appointment....and if all goes well we will find out the sex! Baby Cobb is about 4 and 1/2 inches long and 3 and 1/2 ounces. I have gained 3 pounds so far. Hopefully, I will start to feel the baby move soon! They say this possible at starting at 16 weeks....but everyone is different! Here is a pic for all those not here!

Getting things ready....

Hey everyone! Well....we went to the Dr. yesterday, and we are now 15 weeks along. The baby's heartbeat was 156 beats per minute....which is great she said! Even more exciting is that we will HOPEFULLY find out the sex in a little less than 3 weeks! YAY!!! If you know me,you know patience is NOT one of my strong suits. SO we will go back to the Dr. November 3rd to find out girl or boy. I can't wait to know so we can quit calling Baby Cobb an "it"!! Here I am at 15 weeks :)

We are also in the process of doing some remodeling to our house! Jim and I bought a new house in April, but there are some cosmetic things I want done. I know now is the time to do it BEFORE the baby gets here! We have a painter coming next week to paint the kitchen and the dining rooms. I can't wait to see the difference! Here are some pics of the before....I will show the after next week.

First Purchase

Happy Fall Ya'll! I just love Fall! The weather has been perfect, leaves are starting to change color, and it is time to get all of the pumpkin decor out!

We are now 14 weeks and 1 day along in our pregnancy! Overall, I am feeling well....just a little tired at the end of the day! I have been getting up and going to the gym before school so that I can walk on the treadmill and try and stay fit! We go next Tuesday to the dr for a check-up, and then HOPEFULLY we will go again in 4 weeks and find out the sex! I can't wait!!

So....what is happening to the baby at 14 weeks?? Well, Baby Cobb is about the size of a clenched fist. His/her neck is getting longer and the head more erect. And....on top of the head it might be starting to sprout some hair! Eyebrow hair is also filling in now. So Baby Cobb is working hard!

Jim surprised me and brought home a Jeep running stroller on Saturday! I was SOOO excited :) This is our first purchase so it makes it extra special! I can't wait to have our baby on it....especially on days when it feels this great outside!

WEEK 13!!

First, I want to say Happy 28th Birthday to my wonderful husband! Baby Cobb and I are VERY lucky to have him in our lives :) He has been fantastic throughout the whole pregnancy so far....and he is SO excited about this baby! It brings a smile to my face thinking about how GREAT of a daddy he is going to be :)

Here I am at 13 weeks...not much of a bump! Jim and I take a picture each week so we can see the changes :)

What is happening at 13 weeks?

Well....Baby Cobb is about the size of a peach....measuring about 3 inches! The baby's intestines are now starting to find their permanent position in the baby's abdomen. Baby Cobb is also developing his or her vocal cords this week....getting ready for all of the crying and cooing :)

I am truly AMAZED at this miracle growing inside of me! I am LOVING evey minute of it and can't wait till I have a baby bump :)

Baby on the way!

Hey everyone! Jim and I have decided to start a blog so that all of our friends and family can follow along with us as we start this AMAZING journey in our life! We are thrilled beyond words to be expecting our first child April 6th! God has truly blessed us with this little miracle :)

We went to the doctor yesterday for a health screening test. As you can see from the pictures above.... everything looked great! Baby Cobb is growing and looking very healthy! We are now 12 weeks and 1 day. The baby is about 2 and 1/2 inches long now and had a heartbeat of 176 beats per minute! It was AMAZING to see our sweet little one in 3-d!! What an AWESOME sight!

We are so excited to be able to share everything that is going on with our family and friends....especially those who are not close by! We will be updating belly pics, ultrasound pics, and nursery pics! Please feel free to leave comments at the bottom of the blog! Bare with us as we learn the world of blogging!!
